Rosalind Stern Reichman

Rosalind Stern Reichman, 101, Prairie Village, Kansas, passed away June 11, 2015. Graveside service was held June 14 at Rose Hill Cemetery. Contributions may be made to Crossroads Hospice, 11150 Thompson Ave, Lenexa, KS 66219 or The Temple, Congregation B’nai Jehudah.

 

Rosalind was born Oct. 1, 1913, in Joplin, Missouri, and came to Kansas City, Missouri, with her family at the age of 12. {mprestriction ids="1,3"}She was among the first graduating class of Paseo High School and attended University of Illinois where she was a member of Alpha Epsilon Phi. Later, she worked with her husband David in their ladies ready-to-wear clothing business, Bonnie Bee. Rosalind was the first president of the women’s auxiliary at the Jewish Geriatric Center. She was an accomplished pianist providing entertainment at many organizations. Rosalind was a life member of NCJW, Hadassah and Menorah Women’s Auxiliary. Rosalind was a strong women who overcame many adversities in her life. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, David Reichman and brother, Bert Stern. Survivors include her daughters: Beverly Lewis and husband George of Kansas City, Missouri, and Bonna Hellman and husband Marty of Boynton Beach, Florida; grandchildren: Tripp Lewis, Karen Morris and husband Dana, Michael Hellman and wife Lisa, Mark Hellman and wife Helene and two great-grandchildren.
