Fran Becker, 78, of Overland Park, Kansas, passed away on her own terms on Tuesday, May 19, 2015, after a lengthy illness. Funeral services were held May 21 at Louis Memorial Chapel; burial at Mount Moriah Cemetery. She was born June 20, 1936, to the late Arthur and Dena Levine in Kansas City, Missouri. {mprestriction ids="1,3"}She graduated from Southwest High School in 1954 and went to college at Oklahoma University where she was a member of SDT sorority. She first married the late Irving Gasser in 1957, who passed away in 1963. She married Robert Becker on Feb. 14, 1970. She is survived by her husband Robert Becker of Overland Park; sons and daughters-in-laws: Jeff and Valerie Gasser of Overland Park, Brian Becker and Jensen Montambault of Charlottesville, Virginia; Alan and Rhonda Becker of Olathe, Kansas; brother and sister-in-law: Irwin and Susan Levine, Leawood, Kansas; and five grandchildren: Michael Gasser, Rebecca Gasser, Naomi Becker-Montambault, Dylan Becker and Maiah Becker-Montambault.
She was a member of Congregation Beth Shalom. She was an avid reader, sports fan and Maj Jong player. She never knew a stranger and persevered through life’s obstacles. She loved nothing more than being with her family.
