Zachary Joseph Glass, 35, of Lawrence, KS, passed away Monday, April 13, 2015, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital. Graveside services and burial were to be held on April 15 at Mount Carmel Cemetery. The family requests contributions to Beth Shalom Synagogue, 14200 Lamar, Overland Park, KS 66223.
Zac was born February 5, 1980, in Kansas City, Missouri, and was a lifelong area resident. He was a graduate of Blue Valley Northwest High School. {mprestriction ids="1,3"}Zac joined the business world at an early age pursuing his passion for technology and computers. With a strong entrepreneurial spirit, he started many businesses along the way.
Zac cared deeply about his family and was never shy to share his wit and humor with all. His unique ability to connect with people brightened the lives of everyone he met. He made a lasting impression with all who knew him, and will be remembered fondly with love.
Zac was preceded in death by his grandparents: Morris and Ruth Litvien; Stanley Kalender; and Charles and Betty Lou Glass.
He is survived by his parents: Phyllis and Larry Kalender, Overland Park, Terry and Janice Glass, Overland Park; brothers and sisters: Corey Glass, Washington, D.C., Jessica Kalender-Rich and husband Adam Rich, Overland Park, Allison Glass, Sacramento, California, Melanie Glass, Boston, Massachusetts, Lindsey Glass, Kansas City, Missouri; grandmother: Joyce Kalender, Overland Park; nephews: Yonatan, Eliezer and Shua; aunts, uncles and cousins also survive. Zac was especially close to his aunts Sheila Goldberg and Gloria Kagan and his cousin Lisa Levine.
