Gerean Rudnick wanted people in the world to be happy. She believed that it’s better to give than to receive. And she got through life with laughter, kind words and a huge smile.

Her laugh was her trademark, perfectly encapsulating the genuine way that she embraced everyone she met.

Gerean passed away on April 2, 2015, after 18 months of the biggest challenge of her life — living with the inability to put together her words. {mprestriction ids="1,3"}But she always had the gift of saying everything with her actions and her smile.

Her family shared a love for being together, making memories, stories and laughter. Her friends are a joyful part of that family. Village Shalom and Kansas City Hospice embraced her with the most kind and gentle care possible. We are grateful to this group of individuals who became part of Team Gerean.

Her energy, enthusiasm, and caring spirit were all part of a rare package — she always thought of others first. She had a unique ability to put herself in someone else’s shoes and wear them with understanding.

Melynn and Lenise, along with our families Dan, Jessie and Spencer Sight; David, Jillian and Madeline Ward; and her mate Vic Lindeman, invite you to share a celebration of Gerean’s life and all that she brought to our world:
