Evalyne (Friedman) Denenberg

Evalyne (Friedman) Denenberg, 90, of Framingham, Massachusetts, beloved wife of the late Jason Denenberg, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on March 11, 2015.

 

“Eve,” as she liked to be called, was born and grew up in Kansas City, Missouri, with 11 siblings. {mprestriction ids="1,3"}She met her husband during World War II and was married for 61 years.

She is survived by her sister, Dorothy Flekier of Leawood, Kansas; her children, Karen and her husband Marshall Krashin of Framingham, David and his wife Paulette Denenberg of Matthews, North Carolina, and Sherri and her husband W. Jonathan Gray of Colebrook, Connecticut. She was predeceased by her son, Stephen Denenberg. She was the daughter of the late Jacob and Ida (Slotnick) Friedman of Belton, Missouri.

She leaves nine grandchildren: Marla and her husband John McNulty, Stephen Krashin, Jonathan Denenberg, Erick Denenberg, Rachel Gray, Stephani Gray, Marc and his wife Kyle Paquette, Michelle and her husband Brian Cunningham, and Daniel Paquette; as well as five great-grandchildren: Lillian, John and Jay McNulty, Brady Cunningham and Violet Paquette. She also leaves behind her treasured niece, Sharon and her husband Jeff Pollack.

Over the course of her lifetime, she was a resident of Norwood, Newtonville, and Peabody, Massachusetts, before retiring to Boynton Beach, Florida. Eve was active in her husband’s business; helped build B-17 aircraft during World War II; was an accomplished Civil Air Patrol officer in Massachusetts; and after retiring to Florida, became very active in the Papanicolaou Corps, joining the fight to find cures for cervical and ovarian cancer. 

Services were held at the Stanetsky Memorial Chapel in Canton, Massachusetts, on March 15; interment in Sharon Memorial Park.
