Amy Michelle Blumenthal passed away suddenly on Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2014, at her residence in New York City at the age of 47.

The funeral was held on Tuesday, Sept. 2, at Riverside Memorial Chapel in New York City. An additional graveside service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday, Sept. 5, at Rose Hill Cemetery. The family suggests contributions be made to The Jewish Federations of North America, Wall Street Station, P.O. Box 157, New York, NY 10268.

She is survived by her partner Susan Turner; her father, Lawrence Blumenthal of Kansas City; her brother and sister-in-law, Randall Blumenthal and Sabra Krock of New York City; her nephews, Max and Louis Blumenthal; and many other family and friends who love her.

She was predeceased by her mother Susan “Sudy” Zane of Houston, Texas.

Amy was an attorney and founding partner of Blumenthal and Gruber, LLC, based in Dallas. She was also a cherished friend, a teller of wonderful tales, a crossword maven, a generous giver to charities, a tennis nut and gift to all who knew her. She will be missed.
