Robert Allan Spiegel, 76, of Ra’anana, Israel, passed away on Monday, July 28, 2014.

The funeral and interment were held at Kfar Nachman Cemetery in Ra’anana on Tuesday, July 29.

Robert was born in Cincinnati in 1938 and moved to Miami in 1944, where he lived, married and practiced law until 1981. In 1981 he made aliyah to Israel with his family and continued to practice law. Robert held dual American and Israeli citizenship.

He was an upstanding member of Freemasonry in both the United States and Israel. He held numerous positions within multiple Lodges (Scottish Rite Thrice Potent Master, Most Wise Sovereign, founder and Master of Montefiore Lodge in Israel, was appointed in 2004 as Grand Representative of the Grand Lodge of Kansas to Grand Lodge in Israel and coroneted as a 33rd Degree Scottish Rite Mason in 2005).

Robert loved family above all else. He devoted much time to the precepts and teachings of Freemasonry and made every effort to spread its light unto all mankind.

Robert is survived by his wife of 52 years, Carolyn; his three children, Jackie (husband Gary), Michelle (husband Dan) and Jeffrey (wife Julie); and five grandchildren, Marshall, Hannah, Sophie, Emma and Daniel.
