Daniel Elyachar, 87, loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 21, 2014, at his home in New York City.
The funeral and shiva service were held in New York City. An additional shiva service was held Sunday, July 27, at the home of Adam and Stephanie Elyachar in Leawood. The family suggests donations to the charity of your choice.
Daniel’s career spanned many decades in real estate development and management of commercial and residential properties in the New York metro area and Sarasota, Fla. He was a graduate of the University of Michigan and served in World War II.
Daniel is survived by his children, David, Ann, Jonathan and Jodie, Matthew and Gloria, Adam and Stephanie, and Joshua; 11 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
