Edward Plotsky, 68, of Reno, Nev., passed away Tuesday, July 8, 2014, at his home. A private service and interment will be in Reno.

Edward was born on May 29, 1946, in Kansas City, Mo., the son of the late Herbert and Francis (Kern) Plotsky. Edward graduated from Shawnee Mission East High School, then attended the University of Kansas in Lawrence. He completed his degree in radio and television communications at the University of Arizona in Tucson. After a brief stint in the Army, Edward was a D.J. for radio station KRAI in Craig, Colo.

His final years were spent in Reno, where he worked for Harbor Freight Tools. He was an avid and competitive contract bridge player and had recently achieved the rank of Lifetime Master.

Edward was preceded in death by his parents and is survived by his brother, Paul M. Plotsky, of Atlanta; and his stepson, Steven J. Offenbacher, of Reno.
