Miles Bellman and Leah Hess

Leah Hess and Miles Bellman were married in a garden ceremony on Saturday evening, Aug. 29, 2015, at Lord Thompson Manor in Thompson, Connecticut. Rabbi Karen Landy, a friend and co-worker of the bride, officiated, assisted by Cantor Hollis Schachner of Temple Shir Tikva in Wayland, Massachusetts, where the groom’s family are members.

The bride is the daughter of Donna and Steve Hess of Irvington-on-Hudson, New York, the granddaughter of Beverly Friedman of Overland Park, Kansas, and the late Robert Friedman, and the late Adrienne and Werner Hess.

The groom is the son of Carole and Bob Bellman of Wayland, Massachusetts.

The bridal party included the bride’s brother, Warren Hess of Elmsford, New York, and the groom’s sister, Leah Bellman of Brookline, Massachusetts. The bride is a graduate of Boston University and is an occupational therapist at NewBridge on the Charles - Hebrew Senior Life Center in Dedham, Massachusetts.

The groom is a graduate of Washington University in St. Louis and is an aerospace engineer at Volpe National Transportation Systems Center in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

The couple is planning to honeymoon in the South Pacific and currently reside in Boston, Massachusetts.
