Carla and Neil Banoff of Skokie, Illinois, announce the engagement of their daughter, Lisa Michelle Banoff, to Matthew Phillip Rothenberg, son of Cheryl Wolkoff of Lyndhurst, Ohio, and Marc Rothenberg of University Heights, Ohio.
The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Leona Molotsky and the late Hyman Molotsky, and the late Abe and Ruth Banoff. {mprestriction ids="1,3"}She is the great-granddaughter of the late Elk and Anna Rose Peltzman of Kansas City.
She attended Indiana University-Bloomington, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in elementary education with a minor in Hebrew in 2009. At National-Louis University she earned a Master of Education degree in special education-learning behavior specialist in 2013. She is currently employed as a special education teacher in the Chicago, Illinois, Public Schools.
The future groom is the grandson of Robert and Florence Rothenberg, and the late Dr. Jerry and Gail Wolkoff.
He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech) in 2010, where he was a member of Alpha Epsilon Pi fraternity. He is a civil engineer at the Illinois Department of Transportation.
