Keri and Daniel Unowsky announce the Bat Mitzvah of their daughter, Sarah Beatrice, on Saturday, Aug. 9, at Beth Sholom Synagogue in Memphis, Tenn.
Sarah is the granddaughter of Elliott and Linda Goldstein of Overland Park and the late Sandra Weisberger Goldstein, Noel Rosenbaum and Karl Putnam of El Paso, Texas, and Joel and Nancy Unowsky of Hot Springs, Ark.
Rabbis Ilan Glazer and Chana Leslie Glazer will officiate at the service. To mark the occasion, Sarah will lead the Shacharit service, the Torah service and the Musaf service, read from the Torah, chant her Haftorah and deliver a D’var Torah to the congregation. Sarah’s parashah, Va’etchanan, is the same parashah that her maternal grandfather, Elliott Goldstein, chanted for his Bar Mitzvah.
