Sandy and Steve Passer announce the engagement of their daughter, Emily Passer, to Peter Wolkofsky, son of Michael and Vicky Wolkofsky of Queens, N.Y.
The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of the late Harold and Harriette Hafits of Buffalo Grove, Ill., the late Jerry Passer of Omaha, Neb., the late Si Lee of Overland Park, and Jean and Allen Parelman. Emily graduated from List College and Columbia University with degrees in Bible studies and political science. She is currently director of communications at Quartz Atlantic Media.
The future groom is the grandson of Shirley Wolkofsky and the late Abe Wolkofsky, and Max and Judy Hersch. He is a graduate of Baruch College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in corporate communications and sociology, and a degree in culinary arts from Johnson & Wales University. He is currently employed as a sales representative for SingleCut Beersmiths in New York City.
A Sept. 7 wedding is planned at Kehilath Israel Synagogue.
