Beth Shalom Sisterhood will hold an event as part of Warm Up America, its program to provide handmade afghans to families in need.
The event is planned for Wednesday, Oct. 18, from 10 to 11:30 a.m. in Conference Room A at Congregation Beth Shalom.
The event is open to the community. Yarn will be provided, but participants are asked to bring size 8 needles to knit or size G to crochet.
The afghans will be donated to various social service organizations in the area to be given to people who need them.
