Rabbi Monica Kleinman, Director of Lifelong Learning at Congregation Beth Torah, announced the second-annual series of playground days for those currently enrolled or interested in learning more about the Weiner Religious School.

The Weiner Religious School is open to all area Jewish families regardless of their membership at Beth Torah.

Beth Torah held its first of four Playground Days events on June 26. That session was specifically for fourth and fifth graders. Each event is held from 10 a.m. until noon at the Meadowbrook Park Grand Pavilion Shelter, 9101 Nall Ave, Prairie Village, KS 66207. Two more events will be held:

  • July 10 — second and third graders
  • August 14 — pre-kindergarteners

“We had a wonderful year together in person, and especially enjoyed our time outdoors,” said Aviva Symons, Director of Member Engagement at Beth Torah. “We want to continue having fun with Jewish friends over the summer. Our amazing music teacher, Ms. Lezlie Zucker, will join us to help bring some extra joy to our play.”

Rabbi Kleinman will greet families with children in specific grade levels on certain days. Attendees may see some friends they already know (having met in person or virtually over the last year) or discover their kids may know each other already. Rabbi Kleinman will also be available to answer questions about Congregation Beth Torah’s school, faculty, community, and youth and family experiences.
