There’s still time to sign up for the virtual Day of Discovery event, which will take place Sunday, August 22. Late registration will be available after the August 16 deadline as class size permits. To ensure the safety of all participants, this year’s program will be entirely virtual on Zoom.

Visit kcrabbi.org/day-of-discovery-2021-virtual-event-schedule/ for a complete listing of classes and topic descriptions. Registered participants will receive Zoom links to access the sessions listed on their schedule.

More than 30 classes for adult learners will be offered throughout the day from 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on a wide range of topics. The classes will be led by Kansas City Jewish teachers, educators, professors, and clergy. Participants will discover the teachers that we have in our community and be motivated to continue studying with these individuals in the future.

This program is open to all adults in the Jewish community. Participants can register to attend up to three classes throughout the day plus the lunch and discussion session from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. The lunch discussion, “Reflections on Religion on the Line, 28 Years (and counting!) of Interfaith Radio,” will be led by radio show hosts and co-founders Rabbi Michael Zedek, Rabbi Emeritus of the Temple, Congregation B’nai Jehudah; Dr. Bob Hill, Minister Emeritus of Community Christian Church; and Deacon Bill Scholl, an Archdiocesan consultant for social justice.
