The interactive workshop will focus developing a more compassionate and supportive relationship with yourself. Self-care is key to improved mood, reduced anxiety and depression.

Participants will build new skills to incorporate into their daily routine and increase their enjoyment of life. Facilitators Lauren Glass and Kathleen Halling, JFS therapists, said another goal of the workshop is to help participants develop a strong sense of inner calm.

Glass is a licensed clinical social worker holding a master’s degree from Florida Atlantic University and is a 200-hour registered yoga teacher. She uses evidence-based mindfulness practices, positive self-talk, cognitive behavioral therapy, breathing exercises, yoga and other mind/body-oriented tools and techniques in her work as well as her personal life.

Kathleen Halling

Halling is a licensed professional counselor with many occupational experiences that inform her work, including operating an in-home day care and being a high school teacher. Halling returned to school to become a counselor and play therapist. She enjoys working with people of all ages and has served individuals and families at a domestic violence shelter and in private practice settings.
