Emma Clair Furey, daughter of Amy Ravis Furey and Brian Furey, will become a bat mitzvah on Saturday, Nov. 18, at The Temple, Congregation B’nai Jehudah.
Emma is the granddaughter of Diane Ravis and Michael Ravis (of blessed memory); Glynis Furey (of blessed memory); and Richard and Pat Furey of Spring Lake, New Jersey. She has a brother, Michael.
Some of her hobbies and activities include competitive gymnastics and running on the cross country team at Prairie Star Middle School, where she is a 7th grade student. She enjoys spending summers at Camp Sabra.
For her mitzvah project, Emma collected pet food for the Jewish Family Services food pantry, which offers pet food so that families in need can care for their pets.
