Maya Rebecca Nathan, daughter of Erin and Benjamin Nathan, will become a bat mitzvah on Saturday, Sept. 2, 2023, at The Temple, Congregation B’nai Jehudah.
Maya is the granddaughter of Beth and Jeff Dorfman; Carol and Ira Nathan of Omaha, Nebraska; and Randi Haith and the late Larry Haith. She has a brother, Eli, and is a student at Leawood Middle School.
Some of Maya’s activities include playing sports such as volleyball and bowling. She also enjoys spending time with friends and is part of the Best Buddies program.
For her mitzvah project, Maya is leading weekly Shabbat services for the residents of Village Shalom’s memory care unit.
