Maya Glickman and Ryan Glickman, children of Josh and Allison Glickman, will become b’nai mitzvah on Saturday, Aug. 26, 2023, at Congregation Beth Shalom.
Maya and Ryan are the grandchildren of Rick (z"l) and Sharon Glickman originally of Potomac, Maryland, and Miriam and Daniel Scharf of Kansas City. They have a younger sibling, Asher.
Both siblings attend Overland Trail Middle School. Ryan enjoys playing all sports (particularly soccer), and Maya enjoys playing basketball, skateboarding and playing the guitar. They both love to spend time with friends.
For their b’nai mitzvah projects, Ryan participated in the S.T.A.R.S program through his soccer club KCSG, which provides accessible soccer programming for children with special needs. Maya volunteered with the KC Pet Project and plans to continue working with animals throughout the coming year.
Family and friends are invited to attend Kiddush following Shabbat service.
