Bloch, Hannah Eisemann

Hannah Bloch, 85, of Lincolnwood, Ill., passed away Tuesday Nov. 24, at Northwestern University Medical Center in Chicago.

Graveside funeral services were held Wednesday, Nov. 25, at the Wichita Hebrew Cemetery, Wichita, Kan. The family suggests contributions to “The Ark,” 6450 N. California, Chicago, IL 60645, or the Hyman Brand Hebrew Academy, 5801 W. 115th St., Overland Park, KS 66211.

She was born in Halberstadt, Germany, and immigrated to Kansas City from Berlin in 1938. She graduated in 1942 from the Kansas City Missouri Junior College, and was a registered and certified medical technologist. After her marriage in 1952, she moved to Wichita. She was a member of the Wichita Hebrew Congregation and the Yehuda Moshe Congregation in Lincolnwood.

She was preceded in death by her husband Stanley in 1991. She is survived by her sister, Bertha Zimmerman, Delray Beach, Fla.; her brother, Dr. Gustave Eisemann, Mission Hills, Kan.; daughters and sons-in-law, Esther and Alan Baldinger, Silver Spring, Md., and Miriam Bloch, M.D. and Charles Gunderson, San Diego; son and daughter-in-law, Nathan and Vivian Bloch, Skokie, Ill.; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
