Kon, Klara

Klara Kon, 92, Overland Park, passed away Sunday, Nov. 14, at Menorah Medical Center.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, Nov. 17, at The Louis Memorial Chapel, with burial at Rose Hill Cemetery. The family suggests contributions to Jewish Family Services, 8080 Ward Parkway, Kansas City, MO 64114.

Klara was born in the Ukraine. She served in the Russian Army in 1941 and 1942 during World War II. She came to the United States in 1990 and became a citizen in 1995 at age 78.
She was a member of The Temple, Congregation B’nai Jehudah.

The focus of Klara’s life was her family, taking care of her family, especially her grandchildren, and more recently her great-grandchildren. She was a great cook and will be missed by her family.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Faina Breitberg.

She is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Zinovy and Alla Kon; daughter and son-in-law, Leonora and Edward Kishinevsky, all of Overland Park; grandchildren and their spouses, Alexander and Diana Kishinevsky, San Francisco, Steven and Victoria Kishinevsky, Olathe, Svetlana Webster, Overland Park, and Alexander and Tanya Kon, Overland Park; great-grandchildren, Jaden, Katrina, Ariel, Talia, Eli and Elan.
