The Jewish Community Center will present eight outstanding authors in November. This year’s Jewish Book Fair kicks off with Jon Entine, the author of “Abraham’s Children: Race, Identity and the DNA of the Chosen People,” Tuesday, Nov. 3, at The Temple, Congregation B’nai Jehudah. The next night, Nov. 4, Louise Borden, author of “The Journey that Saved Curious George: The True Wartime Escape of Margret and H.A. Rey,” will speak at the Center, co-sponsored by the Midwest Center for Holocaust Education. Gloria Goldreich, “Open Doors,” will be at the Center on Sunday, Nov. 8. The JCC is a co-sponsor of the Festival of Faiths, featuring Eboo Patel, “Acts of Faith: The Story of an American Muslim, The Struggle for the Soul of a Generation,” on Tuesday, Nov. 10, at Congregation Beth Shalom’s Wornall location. Benyamin Cohen, “My Jesus Year: A Rabbi’s Son Wanders the Bible Belt In Search of His Own Faith,” will headline the annual continental breakfast Sunday, Nov. 15, at the Center. “Rashi’s Daughters” author Maggie Anton will appear Thursday, Nov. 19, at Kehilath Israel Synagogue. “Jewish Pirates of the Caribbean,” discussed by author Edward Kritzler, will conclude the Book Fair on Monday, Nov. 23, at Village Shalom. There is a charge for the Festival of Faiths and the breakfast, and tickets are requested for all events. Tickets are available at the Jewish Community Center.
