Arthur A. Grodsky, 94, of Overland Park, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 2, at Kansas City Hospice House. Services were held Thursday, Sept. 3, in the chapel at Kehilath Israel Blue Ridge Cemetery, followed by burial. The family suggests contributions to Kansas City Hospice House, 12000 Wornall Road., Kansas City, MO 64145. Mr. Grodsky was a purchasing agent for the Glenwood Manor Hotel and Convention Center for many years before his retirement. He was devoted member of Congregation Ohev Sholom since 1970, a member of B’nai B’rith since 1970, was a member of the Mnookin Brown American Legion Post and loved to bowl with the B’nai B’rith Bowling team for 31 years. Mr. Grodsky enjoyed working with and helping others in service, assisted with Meals on Wheels for eight years and never met a stranger. He was born in Mobile, Ala., and came to the Kansas City area in 1970. Mr. Grodsky is survived by his wife of 65 years, Mary Grodsky, of the home; daughters and sons-in-law, Claire and Dan Smith, Linn Valley, Kan., and Janet and Keith Harris, Overland Park; brother and sister-in-law, Larry and Jolee Grodsky, Atlanta; sister and brother-in-law, Zelda and Mel Siegel, Atlanta; grandchildren, Michael Harris and wife Kim, Springfield, Mo., Lori Bolejack and husband Rustin, Overland Park, and Brad Geraldi, Olathe; great-grandchildren, Preston Asher Harris, Springfield, and Rylan Ray Bolejack, Overland Park.
