Goldberg, Robert S.

Robert S. Goldberg, 87, of Overland Park, passed away Monday, June 29, at Village Shalom.

Graveside services were held Wednesday, July 1, at Rose Hill Cemetery. The family suggests contributions to Cancer Action, 10520 Barkley, Overland Park, KS 66212.

Mr. Goldberg manufactured aircraft parts at Pratt & Whitney during World War II, but cars were his passion.

He went into automotive sales and spent the majority of his career at Brace (later Cunningham) Oldsmobile and retired as vice president in 1975.

Mr. Goldberg was a member of The Temple, Congregation B’nai Jehudah.

He was born in Kansas City, Mo., was a lifelong area resident and a graduate of Central High School in 1939.

Mr. Goldberg was preceded in death by his wife, Blossom “Bobbie” Goldberg in 1989; his brother, Martin Goldberg; and his sister, Mayme Mendel.

He is survived by Blossom Block, his longtime special friend; daughters and sons-in-law, Marilyn and Richard Litner, Boston; Linda and Richard Minsk, Sharon, Mass.; grandchildren, Jason Minsk, Stephen Litner, David Litner and his wife, Giada, and great-grandson: Dorian Litner.

Bob will be sorely missed by his family and friends.
