Once again, Federation has cut the percentage of campaign funds it sends overseas to keep more here. Do you agree?

Jabenis, Eli

Eli Jabenis, 89, died June 20 in Omaha, Neb.

Eli was born (Jan. 22, 1920) and raised in Kansas City, Mo. He and his wife, Pearl, operated Travelware Luggage in Omaha for more than 60 years.

Eli was preceded in death by his wife, Pearl. He is survived by three daughters, Maxine (Allen) Passer, Nancy Kagen and Judy (Steve) Epstein; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; brothers, Mace (Elaine) Jabenis and Lawrence (Sandie) Jabenis. Donations may be made to Beth El Synagogue, 144th and W. Dodge in Omaha, Neb.
