Ralph A. Perlman, age 86, of Atlanta, died June 13. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in Hawaii. He was a loving husband, son, brother, father, uncle and grandfather. In his professional life, he worked in the transportation industry in various positions, including transportation manager. Later, he contributed to his community when he was elected to the Senate of Georgia Silver Haired Legislature, where he served from 1985 through 1991. He was preceded in death by his wife, Floy Elizabeth Perlman. Survivors include children, Judith Perlman, Marcia Cox and Robert Perlman; step-children, Barbara Spicer and Jesse Hodges; nieces and nephew, Ilana Meskin, Tamar Trushinski and David Perlman, as well as numerous cousins. Graveside services with full military honors were held at the Georgia National Cemetery on June 16. A memorial service will be held at The Temple, Congregation B’nai Jehudah at 11:30 a.m. Sunday, July 19.
